January Thaw

The January thaw continues through midweek with temperatures remaining in the 40s. There is no need for a heavy winter coat on Tuesday, but you will want a raincoat or umbrella. Showers will become more numerous in the afternoon and early evening. Rain will taper off shortly after the evening commute. Wednesday is dry with a mix of sun and clouds.  Cooler air arrives starting Thursday with the chance for several small disturbances that could bring a passing rain or snow shower late week.

Tonight: Cloudy, mild. Chance for a shower towards daybreak. Low: 35-40.

Tomorrow: Cloudy with showers and areas of rain. Remaining mild with high temperatures in the middle to upper 40s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds, mild. High temperatures in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees.

Thursday: A mix of sun and clouds. Chance for a passing rain or snow shower. Cooler with high temperatures in the upper 30s.

Friday: Partly sunny, breezy. Chance for a light rain or snow shower. The high temperature will occur in the morning. Turning colder throughout the day. High: Upper 30s.

Saturday: A mix of sun and clouds. For now the forecast is dry with a storm passing well south and east of Connecticut. But we'll need to keep an eye on it. High: Low 30s.
