Pics of the New Studio!

Here are some EXCLUSIVE (makes it seem more exciting) pictures of the new newsroom at the Harford Courant. It's supposedly the largest newsroom in New England (combining Courant employees with FOX61). It has come a long way! Our new launch date is Decmeber 12th! The first HD show will be on the weekend which means I'll be there for the party/first show.

This is a diagonal view of the studio from the newsroom. You can see the green screen/chroma key which is where I will be spending 90% of my time. Next to the green screen will be a weather center. It's a pretty small space, but we'll make the best of it. The floors and ceilings are black and the HD cameras are robotic which means fewer people on the floor during a newscast.

This is a view of the newsroom! A new carpet was installed. This is what you'll see behind the set. A busy, working newsroom...although its not so busy right now.

This is a random shot of the audio board. All audio comes through this area. You can see the fancy new tvs at the top which are technologically lightyears ahead of the ones we have in place now!

I'll be taking more pictures in the weeks to come. Apparently the set is almost finished. A company in Florida is making it and shipping it up to us next week!
