Humid, A Few Strong Storms Memorial Day

Humidity is creeping up again and so is the frizz factor (so keep the ponytail handy). Tonight will turn muggy with partly to mostly cloudy skies and the chance for an isolated shower or storm late. Memorial Day will also be very warm with a mix of sun and clouds. But summer weather comes with a price. The atmosphere will be very unstable so watch for a few storms to bubble up in the afternoon. Although the storms will be hit or miss, anything that develops could be strong or severe with lightning, hail and damaging winds. Tuesday will be almost exactly the same (warm, muggy, afternoon storms). Then a cold front early Wednesday will wash the humidity away, and take the showers along with it. For now, Thursday and Friday look dry and sunny with temperatures returning to the 70s.
