After a gorgeous weekend, temperatures will be slow to fall, only dropping into the 50s overnight with patchy fog and partly cloudy skies.
Then get ready to sweat! Trust me, you might want to consider using a sick day tomorrow. The calendar says April but tomorrow will feel more like July or August. Temperatures inland will top out between 85 and 90, approaching the record high of 90 degrees at Bradley Airport. The shoreline will not be as mild with a southerly component to the wind bringing air over the relatively cooler long island sound. Temperatures will stay in the 70s to near 80 degrees. The record high of 85 degrees in Bridgeport will remain untouched.
Morning fog will break for sunshine. An elevated risk of brush fires continues tomorrow with the heat, dry air and a breeze. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect tomorrow for Hartford, Tolland, Windham and Litchfield Counties.
Tuesday will remain dry and mild with temperatures in the 70s. Wednesday and Thursday temperatures will drop down around 70 degrees.
Wet weather is possible Friday night into the weekend. We could certainly use the rain!
