A major winter storm will transform into a blizzard for parts of the Mid-Atlantic. Baltimore and D.C are in the target zone with well over a foot of snow likely!
This is the SREF computer model displaying the 12 hour probability during midday Saturday of 1" or more (upper left), 4" or more (upper right), 8" or more (lower left) and 12" or more (lower right). Notice that NONE of CT is included in the 1+ category! Oh well...we miss another snow storm while Southern NJ, D.C. and Baltimore get hammered. High pressure in Canada will keep this storm away from New England. There may be a little snow for the shoreline with a coating possible for in spots. Everywhere else, the only effect from this storm will be some extra clouds or a few flurries. I am not happy. Is a little snow for a meteorologist in Connecticut too much to ask for these days? ;)
