Record Cold Tonight-Tomorrow Morning

Record threatening cold will start off the weekend. Saturday morning the daily record low temperature is -7 degrees for Windsor Locks and -1 for Bridgeport. Both records will be challenged or broken with low temperatures between 0 and -15.

After a cold start, temperatures will rebound into the 20s on Saturday with mostly sunny skies. Milder air moves in Sunday with increasing clouds and the chance for a few showers, mainly late in the day. Precipitation may briefly start as sleet. 40s are likely early Monday before we crash back to winter by afternoon with a flash freeze possible.

Tonight: Record challenging cold. Winds gradually diminish. Lows: -15 to 0.

Tomorrow: Dangerously cold in the morning with temperatures beginning below zero. Sunshine and high clouds with high temps rebounding into the 20s.

Sunday: Increasing clouds with showers developing, mainly late in the day. Milder with high temperatures in the mid and upper 30s.

Monday: Showers through midday followed by some clearing. High temperatures occur early in the morning (40s). Turning sharply colder and windy throughout the day with a flash freeze possible.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and bitterly cold. High temperatures in the middle teens inland, upper teens for the shoreline.

Wednesday: Another cold but sunny day. High temperatures in the middle 20s inland, upper 20s for the shoreline.
